Project 365 February

Day 32-
Loving this Beautiful windy day!
The crisp air and wind took me back to the days of walking home from school in Missouri, coming in the house to the smell of something delicious baking in the oven or just out of the oven for us to devour. Sweet memories.

Day 33-
Woke up to a yard covered in ice!
Love the way it sparkles and glistens in the sun-♥

Day 34-
Lost in the world of soldiers, hunters, kings, knights, pirates, cowboys and super heroes. It makes me happy to see and hear the adventures they go on with their playmobile.

Day 35-
One reason a dog can be such a comfort when you're feeling blue is that he doesn't try to find out why. ~Author Unknown

Day 36-
Campfire stories.

Day 37-
Artwork Courtesy of Hannah and Micah.

Day 38-
I ♥ Ironstone Dishes but even more than the dishes are the sweet memories of "the hunt" for them with my sister last Fall

Day 39-
Carefully placed to give me a good scare... The joys of boys!

Day 40-
Créme Glacée
Nicholas' 6th grade class opened an ice cream shop to raise money for some upcoming field trips.
Stop by tomorrow and have a Banana Split, Root beer float or a piece of delicious pie! Open 1:40- 8:00

Day 41-
Taking a" Moment"
What I am loving most about Project 365 is the way it has pushed me to take a few minutes each day and find a piece of the beauty I'm surrounded with, to slow down and be aware of the moment- one of many moments...

Day 42-
Blueberry Friday

Day 43-
Trees in bloom make my heart sing!

Day 44-
A child reminds us that playtime is an essential part of our daily routine.

Day 45-
“Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth - for your love is more delightful than wine” Song of Solomon1:2

Day 46-
I've had my eye on this tree for the past 4- 5 years- making a point to look for it when I visit the park or even drive by. The heart shape has become more stretched out and less obvious as the tree grows but it still gives me a little heart squeeze every time.

Day 47-
When I grow up I want to be a little boy.
-- Joseph Heller

Day 48-
You've probably noticed- I love trees and sky, especially a sky with a cloud or two!
I pass by this little tree every day when I take the kids to school, today I took a walk just to capture its beauty.

Day 49-
Between the innocence of babyhood and the dignity of manhood, we find a delightful creature of a boy.
-- Author Unknow

Day 50-
Couldn't resist this shot of little Biruk watching his cousins and brothers soccer game.

Day 51-
Someone said the "W" word and Chloe was all over it... How can you resist those eyes, even when it means getting dragged along by an overly enthusiastic terrier?

FYI- When visiting our house please spell the words "w-a-l-k" and "t-r-e-a-t" Unless of course you want to deal with those eyes...

Day 52-
Red Clusterberry

Day 53-
Janice turned 66 today!
Tomorrow we'll celebrate with Coca-cola and Chocolate! :)

Day 54-
{Dreaming}
Zachary's top 3 places he wants to visit- the Pyramids, the Taj Mahal and the Eiffel Tower. We decided we better narrow it down to one because we probably can't afford all that;) The Eiffel Tower won because he thought the lights looked cool and the elevator ride up would be awesome and we could eat at McDonalds. ;)

Day 55-
{Trapped}
My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only He will release my feet from the snare. (Psalm 25:15)

Day 56-
Lunch and running errands with my most favorite person!
I love middle of the day dates. ♥

Day 57-
The fastest cure to a house exploding with grumpy, bickering, restless boys is to stir up a batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies...works like a charm!

Day 58-

Day 59-
What is a weed? A plant whose virtues have never been discovered.

Project 365 January

I want to take time to notice and enjoy the small things- the
ordinary, every-day life moments. To slow down and notice the beauty I'm surrounded with.   I find myself longing to do things I can't do, go places we can't afford or wanting our kids to experience things I think would be amazing for them... in the meantime I miss out on the gifts God gives us everyday, right here, right now!
Project 365 for me is a way  to tune into the beauty I'm surrounded with and treasure the moments of this life God has blessed me with.
